|Bio:||Born and raised in Los Angeles, CA my childhood was spent playing violin, piano, and dancing away at my ballet studio. Since coming to Utah in 2007 to attend The University of Utah (Go Utes!), I have found a new love for anything outdoor. My time is now being spent running, hiking, rock climbing and playing racquetball or tennis.
At the University of Utah, I switched my major from Mass Communications to Elementary Education and it is there I found my true passion. Learning is my passion and teaching facilitates that passion. Working with kids is a new adventure every day which is why I love it.
I started teaching 3rd grade at Monticello Academy in August 2011. I feel extremely fortunate to be at a school that values parental involvement and a strong curriculum. In addition to the core subjects, having music, art, PE and foreign language present in a child's education develops a well-rounded individual. I am thrilled to be in Third grade because of the rich content but first and foremost for the enthusiasm of its young scholars.
I am currently working on my Reading Endorsement 1 through the University of Utah's Education Psychology department. I have applied to the Masters program to become a reading interventionist in the near future.
