Dear 8th Grade Parent(s)/Guardian(s),

We are about to begin the 8th grade annual College and Career Readiness Meetings. You will soon receive a post card with information about this meeting, as well as an appointment time. If your appointment time is at a time that does not work for you, please call or email Mrs. Davis to reschedule. These annual meetings are important to help you and your student plan for his/her future and navigate the transition to high school and beyond. We hope to see you there!

Monticello Academy’s Counseling and Guidance program is aligned with the Utah Model Comprehensive Counseling and Guidance Program. Monticello Academy School Counseling Program’s mission is to assist every student with his/her academic achievement, social/emotional development and vocational needs. The program’s services focus on students’ strengths and abilities and are designed to help remove barriers to learning, promote academic success, and facilitate growth of character to prepare for college and a career.

All students in grades 7 through 9 participate in the Counseling and Guidance program through grade-wide activities such as Career Day and the College Tour; classroom guidance lessons; small group counseling; individual planning meetings where the student, counselor, and parent/guardian all meet together; and responsive services to meet the immediate needs of the students.

Please take a moment to check out the calendar below and see what is currently happening with the Counseling and Guidance program here at Monticello Academy!
